Russian Ivan-Tea (Epilobium angustifolium) indeed possesses some truly unique healing properties. The leaves that we use to produce our teas contain plentiful bioactive compounds, tannins, mucilaginous elements, organic acids, coumarins, flavonoids, iron, B vitamins, and vitamin C (and its levels are three times higher than the levels of vitamin C in lemons). Ivan-Tea does not contain any caffeine. Most importantly though it has a delicate taste with tender notes of dried fruit, a delicious aroma, and the same shade of colour as your typical tea.

Ivan-Tea (Willow-herb) leaves are manually harvested in some of Russia's most ecologically clean regions. It grows completely naturally, fed by clean water, clean air, and bathed in warm and radiant sunlight. Which is why Russian Ivan-Tea is truly deserving of its label as a natural, organic, and bio tea.
First, rinse your teapot with hot boiling water. Use 1 - 2 tbsp of loose-leaf Ivan-Tea for 1 litre of water, pour in the boiling water until about 1/3 of the leaves are submerged, shake gently, then drain the water from the teapot. This way you will have steamed the tea, which will now produce a stronger and more fragrant aroma. Then pour in fresh water brought to rolling boil, and leave the tea to infuse for 5 minutes. What is interesting to note is that the same leaves can be brewed up to five times, without losing any of their taste or aroma, or any of their healing properties. This tea can also be served as a cold drink. Instead of sugar, it's best to serve it with dried figs or apricots, raisins, dates, or honey.
